Experience |
Ken has over twenty years experience as a shearer. He has worked throughout New Zealand and also spent time overseas in Australia and the United States.
Ken has regularly competed in competitions for the past 20 years. He believes that competitions are a great way to keep his shearing technique honed and up to date, after all what happens on the competition boards transfers directly to the wool shed. Add to this the physical and mental attributes gleaned from competing and trainees benefit directly from Ken's skills.
Ken's recent successes include winning the New Zealand Winter Comb title in 2001 and also representing New Zealand in the same year.
As a qualified machine shearing judge Ken also has the ability to effectively assess the quality of a trainees' work.
