Experience |
Noel has had over twenty years shearing experience, working predominantly in Canterbury and Otago. He has also had eighteen years experience as a ganger.
This year Noel had the honour of being appointed a Master Blade Shearer by Shearing Sports New Zealand, joining a prestigious group of only sixteen other blade shearers. He is also a New Zealand Champion shearer and has competed successfully at the World Championships. As a result, Noel's trainees have the opportunity to learn from one of the best in the industry. His shearing accomplishments mean he is an inspirational leader and a positive role model for new trainees.
Noel also makes a valuable contribution to the shearing community by regularly assisting with competitions as a Canterbury and Rangiora A&P Committee member.
Noel enjoys the variety of his work. He believes a particularly rewarding aspect of his job is watching the new trainees develop and progress in the industry.
