A new addition to the Tectra training team

Friday, 10 December 2004
This week Tectra welcomes a new Regional Training Co-ordinator for the Southland region, Pete Nichol.

Pete has spent the past two years working with Tectra as a part time instructor. Add to that his 22 years experience as a shearer, contractor and run manager and you couldn't ask for a more experienced person.

In addition, Pete understands what it takes to be a good instructor. It's all about having good people and presentation skills and focussing on developing supportive relationships with trainees. Just as importantly Pete believes you need to instill in trainees the belief that they can improve and excel in the wool harvesting industry. He strongly believes in teaching trainees not just what to do but why they are doing it, and letting his own drive and commitment inspire their achievement.

Pete will definitely be a valuable addition to the Tectra team and we look forward to working with him.
