Monitoring lamb survival - The debate

Overview
 Starvation and exposure are commonly recognised as the main factors causing lamb losses. Preliminary research indicates that dystocia is in fact a major factor.
 Dystocia is commonly identified as a swollen head and neck, noting that what is often not seen is bruising under the skin which can cause death - but is not easily identified by a external examination.
 This article raises questions about the results and looks at where to from here.
