This four day intense course is designed for advanced wool handlers who are looking to take up the challenge as leading wool hands.

This course has an emphasis on planning and liaising with farmers and wool brokers/buyers to understand what the clip preparation requirements are before grading commences. To do this you will develop appropriate communication and documentation skills and be familiar with wool terminology and issues in the wider wool industry.

These skills will be used in the woolshed to implement a workable action plan and to instruct and monitor the other wool handlers. You will also learn the importance of obtaining feedback from farmers and providing feedback for your wool handling team.

On completion of this course and the on-job work record requirements you will have achieved your National Certificate in Wool Handling Level 4.
